Report on Aloysia

St Aloysius College Harihar conducted an Inter collegiate fest “Aloysia 2K19” for both PUC and High School students on 13th of November 2019. The program began at 9:30a.m. The Chief guest for the day was Mr GC Niranjan DDPU of Davangere other guests were Fr Eric Mathias SJ Superior and Principal of Degree College, Mr Sunny Gudino Principal of PU College, Mrs Pushpalatha Urs Vice Principal, Fr Pradeep Sequeira SJ and the cultural Coordinator Ms Princy Flavia Pinto.

The day began with the college band welcoming the guests and NCC escorted the guests towards the stage. The program began with a Welcome Dance which was led by Ananya followed by Welcome Song. Mr Niranjan addressed the students. He spoke about the importance of education and asked the students to take exams seriously. Mr Sunny Gudino delivered a short speech on the occasion. He narrated a true story of a boy named Tejus who won cash prize for quiz competition. The boy thought of making use of that money in order to build walls for his school and also for the marriage of his sister. The education minister came to know about this and he asked Tejus to keep the money for his further study and he sponsored the money for the development of the school. He gave a message to all the students to be compassionate. The formal program ended with a Vote of thanks.

The college then witnessed various cultural events. Different cultural events were conducted for both PUC and High School. Students from various colleges actively participated in different events. Some of the events are group dance, skit, Essay writing, Treasure hunt, Face Painting, Variety entertainment, Quiz, cooking without fire, Science modal, traditional King and Queen etc. Participation certificate was given to all the participants and all the winners were awarded with Trophies and certificates. Grasim High school won the title of best participating team. The overall championship trophy was announced at evening during the college day programme. Sidaganda PU college won the overall championship.
