Ganesha Chaturthi

On the occasion of Ganesha Chaturthi,St Aloysius College Harihar celebrated this day on 4 September,2019 at 3.30 PM in the college quadrangle.Ganesh Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaturthi is a festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha.The festival is marked with the immersing of Ganesha Idols privately in homes,or publicly .The festival celebrates Lord Ganesha as the God of new beginnings of the Remover of obstacles and is observed throughout India.

The chief guest for the day was Sri Sri Sri Sharadheshananda,,Ramakrishna Ashrama,Harihar ,Rev Fr Eric Mathias Sj,Principal St Aloysius College ,Harihar,Fr Pradeep Sequiera SJ,Finance Officer ,Fr Cyril Raj SJ,Vice Principal Degree,Mrs Pushpalatha,Vice- Prinicpal, Discipline and Mr Sunny Gudinho,Vice Principal,Academic and the staff coordinator ,Ms Shimmi Raj.

The programme began with a bhajan invoking Lord Ganesha’s blessings by Pallavi And team ,followed by an inspirational talk by Swamiji.He spoke on the parts of Lord Ganesha and how they represent each element and virtue in nature.Fr Eric spoke about brotherhood and the meaning of equality and togetherness in celebrating this festival as one Aloysian family.

Cultural programme followed the formal programme.Dance representing the goodness of Lord Ganesha was performed.Sweets were distributed to all students and staff.
