Report on Hindi Divas

St Aloysius College Harihar celebrated Hindi Divas on 14 th of September. The aspiration of the program is to make the students understand about the significance of Hindi Language. Program began at 11am by welcoming the guests to the stage. The chief guest of the day was Mr. Syed Idrus Hindi Lecturer of Giriyamma college Harihar. Students welcomed him along with other guest’s Fr Eric Mathias SJ principal and superior of St Aloysius college, Fr Pradeep Sequeira Finance officer, Mr. Sunny Gudhino and Mrs Pushpalatha vice principal and Mr. Vasanth Rathod Coordinator of the program. In a society that worships Love, Freedom and beauty, dance is Sacred. It is a prayer for the future a remembrance of the past and a joyful exclamation of thanks for the present. The program began with a prayer dance by first PU students which was followed by the inauguration by watering the plant. Master of the ceremony Ms Rubheena Sultana invited the chief guest Mr Syed Idrus to address the audience. He began his speech by a conspicuous Shayari then he thanked his friend Mr Vasanth Rathod for inviting him for this program and he also added that even though he thought of celebrating Hindi Divas for the past several years he couldn’t do and he is extremely happy that his friend has made his dream into reality. He spoke about the importance of Hindi language. Even though it is our Rashtra Bhasha the language is not given much importance. He also spoke about two Eminent personalities; Swami Dayananda and Mahatma Gandhi even though they were Guajarati’s by origin they try to propagate Hindi throughout the country.

Dancing is the most basic and relevant of all forms of expression. Students of first PUC came up with an iconic Bollywood dance performance which was followed by another mind-blowing performance by first PCMB students. Students of Science performed a lovely skit which was followed by another dance performance. Mime makes the invisible, visible and the visible, invisible. Students fascinated the audience through their Mime performance. Master of ceremony Rubeena then called upon students of second PUC commerce to perform a dance. Fr Pradeep Sequeira fetched a wide smile on the faces of the students by his speech. He began his speech by saying his love for the Hindi Language. He spoke about his personal experiences. He is a lover of Hindi and up to his college he has taken Hindi as his second language but after his college days he didn’t get the opportunity to speak in Hindi and he is immensely happy to deliver a speech on this auspicious occasion. He concluded the speech by saying that he loves Hindi Language for its cadence and simplicity. The program came to an end at 1pm.
