“Have an India without any difference” said Mr Vijay Kumar

St Aloysius College ,Harihar celebrated the 73 rd Independence Day in the college premises on 15 th August 2019 at 9 a.m

Mr Vijay Kumar ,Manager Canara Bank was the chief guest ,Fr Eric Mathias SJ,Superior and Principal,Degree college presided over the programme ,accompanied by Fr Pradeep Sequeira SJ,Finance Officer ,Fr Pradeep Antony,Vice Principal ,St Aloysius College Mangalore,Fr Cyril Raj SJ,Vice Principal Degree College ,Vice principals of Discipline and Academic Ms Pusphalatha Urs and Mr Sunny Gudinho.

The chief guest in his address stressed on how we should stay as an undivided nation without any difference of caste and creed.He also brought out instances of the history of India under the British Rule.

Programme for the day began by hoisting the flag followed by cultural events by the students to show love for the nation and patriotism.

Students performed dances,mime ,pyramids, a song and a speech on independence struggle, all to celebrate the freedom that we have got

Fr Eric in his presidential address spoke about how freedom should come from within and not seek it outside.As the is lynching and violence everywhere we need to be protective of our freedom and struggles we face.We must stay United in this nation that is diverse.

Programme ended on a happy with greetings and wishes .
